Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 August 2026
This explains what we collect when you use TunePoint, why, and what choices you have. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.
1. What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and a hashed (never plain-text) password.
- Content you submit: the text you paste or upload for analysis, and the results we generate from it. This is stored so you can see your history — it is not anonymised or redacted before storage.
- Billing data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment details directly — we never see or store your card number. We keep only your Stripe customer/subscription IDs and plan status.
- Basic usage data: which features you use and how often, to enforce plan limits and improve the Service.
We do not currently use cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics scripts (e.g. Google Analytics). If that changes, we’ll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
2. How your submitted text is processed
This matters more here than at most SaaS products, because what you submit is the product:
- Our default, fast analysis engines run entirely on our own servers — your text never leaves our infrastructure for these.
- Our optional deeper “emotion insight” analysis sends your submitted text to Hugging Face, a third-party AI inference provider, solely to generate that result. Hugging Face processes it as our sub-processor under their own terms; we don’t control their infrastructure.
Don’t submit text you don’t have the right to share (see Terms §5), and be mindful that text about other identifiable people (e.g. a customer complaint containing their name) is personal data about them, not just about you.
3. How long we keep data
We retain your account and analysis history for as long as your account is active. We don’t currently have an automatic deletion schedule for old analyses — see §5 if you want something removed sooner.
4. Who else sees your data
Besides Hugging Face (§2, only for the emotion-insight engine) and Stripe (§1, only for billing), we don’t sell or share your data with third parties. We may disclose it if required by law, or to protect the security of the Service.
5. Your choices
You can view and delete individual analyses yourself at any time from your history. For a full export of your data, or to delete your account entirely, contact us (§7) — this is currently a manual process on our end, not an automated self-service button; we aim to respond within a reasonable time.
6. Children
The Service isn’t directed at children and isn’t intended for use by anyone under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
7. Contact
Privacy requests (access, export, deletion): kevinlimks2020@gmail.com.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date.
